AJWOO DICTATE — PRIVACY POLICY
Version 2026-09-24

[DRAFT — NOT YET REVIEWED BY COUNSEL. Items marked [DECISION] need your
input. Remove this notice once finalized.]

GG Creative Studios, LLC ("we", "us") makes ajwoo dictate (the "App"). This
policy explains what the App does with information. The short version: your
voice and your transcripts stay on your Mac. We do not collect them, and the
App contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking.

1. WHAT THE APP PROCESSES, AND WHERE

Microphone audio
Recorded only while you are dictating (after you double-tap your key or
click Record). It is converted to text on your Mac and the temporary
recording is deleted immediately afterwards. It is not sent to us.
Exception: if you choose the "Apple On-Device" model and your Mac's
offline dictation language pack is not installed, macOS may send audio to
Apple to transcribe it. That processing is governed by Apple's privacy
policy, not ours. You can avoid this by installing the language pack
(System Settings → Keyboard → Dictation) or by using Parakeet or Whisper.

Transcripts
Pasted where your cursor is and, if you enable it, copied to your
clipboard. The App keeps your most recent 500 transcripts in a "Dictate
Log" file on your Mac so you can find them later. They are never uploaded.
You can delete individual entries or all of them at any time in the
Dictate Log window, or by deleting the App's folder (see section 5).

Keyboard
The App watches for your chosen shortcut key only, to detect a double-tap,
and simulates ⌘V only to paste your transcript. It does not record or
  store what you type.

Settings
Your preferences are stored on your Mac.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
None through the App. The App has no accounts, no analytics, no crash
reporting, and no telemetry. It makes no network connections to us.

The App is free and has no purchase flow. If you contact us for support,
we use the information you send (such as your name and email address) only
to reply and help you.

3. ONE-TIME DOWNLOADS
When you first set up the App, it downloads software components from the
Python Package Index (pypi.org) and, if needed, a Python runtime (from
GitHub, via the bundled "uv" tool by Astral), and speech-model files from
Hugging Face (huggingface.co). Like any download, these services receive
your IP address and standard request information and handle it under their
own privacy policies. No audio, text, or personal information is sent.

4. LEGAL BASES (EEA/UK)
To the extent we process personal data (section 2), we do so for our legitimate interest in
providing support. Processing of your voice and
transcripts happens on your own device under your control.

5. RETENTION AND DELETION
On your Mac: transcripts remain until you delete them; the Dictate Log keeps
at most 500. To remove everything the App stores, quit it, delete the App,
and delete the folder ~/Library/Application Support/ajwoo dictate.
Support emails: kept as long as needed to help you, then deleted
[DECISION: e.g. within 12 months].

6. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA, UK, California, and other
US states), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal
data we hold about you, to object to or restrict processing, and to
complain to a data protection authority. We do not sell or share personal
information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise a right,
contact us (section 9); we will respond within the time required by law.

7. CHILDREN
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age
where you live), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

8. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
We are based in the United States. Any support data you send us
may be processed in the US, with safeguards required by applicable law.

10. CHANGES
If we change this policy materially, the App will show the new version and
ask for your acceptance before continued use. The version date is at the
top.
